While attending the 10th annual Equine Advocates at the Saratoga Civic Center last night, Passion Project host Kristina Krawchuk asked actresses Bo Derek and Bebe Neuwirth for their opinion of our much anticipated television show Passion Project.

Bo Derek has been a horse riding enthusiast since childhood and is an active spokesperson for the Animal Welfare Institute’s national campaign to end horse slaughter. She’s written a memoir entitled “Everything That Matters in Life I Learned from Horses and is the founder of her own line of fine pet-care products called “Bless the Beasts.”

Derek has lobbied for the passage of federal and state legislation to stop the slaughter of horses in the US for food export to Europe by testifying before Congress.

Two-time Emmy and Tony Award winning actress Bebe Neuwirth, who played Dr. Lilith Sternin, Dr. Frasier Crane’s wife (later ex-wife), on both the TV sitcom Cheers (in a starring role), and its spin-off Frasier (in a recurring guest role), is also a strong voice against horse slaughter.

Bebe was honored by Equine Advocates in 2009 for her life-long commitment to helping and protecting animals and for her strong public stance against horse slaughter.

Bo Derek and Bebe Neuwirth are celebrities that use their star power to make a positive difference in the world of animal rights. Both actresses share a unwavering commitment to making the world a better place and would be well chosen to appear on an episode of Passion Project in the future.
